KARACHI – Renowned TV actress Bushra Ansari confirmed her second marriage with Film Director Iqbal Hussain on Tuesday.
The actress made this disclosure during a Vlog on her YouTube channel and expressed her thoughts on getting married at an older age during this time.
In the vlog, Iqbal Hussain said that their first meeting took place in 2016 during the shooting of the serial “Sita Bagri”, at that time, they were both divorced and single, and it was during this shooting that he proposed to Bushra Ansari.
Bushra said that Iqbal Hussain’s divorce happened some time before her divorce and she took some time after her divorce, but they hadn’t met each other until then.
“I had never spoken to anyone about my divorce because it took me a year and a half to accept it,” said the actress.
She was of the view that “I never intended to get married for a long time, I celebrated my wedding by taking a year and a half, and then I introduced Iqbal Hussain to my family, and everyone was happy to see him,”.
On this occasion, Iqbal Hussain said that they wanted to challenge the prevailing negative attitudes in society associated with marrying a woman older than oneself.
The couple said that if someone gets divorced or their partner passes away, usually children get their father remarried but the mother also has the right to live her life.
“If you find a sincere partner in life, there is no harm in starting a new life with them,” she added.
It may be mentioned here that news of Bushra Ansari and Iqbal Hussain’s marriage had surfaced in 2019, however, neither of the two personalities confirmed or denied these reports. Later, Bushra Ansari openly talked about her divorce in 2020 and confirmed her second marriage in 2023, but at that time, she did not disclose who she married.
Bushra Ansari had married Iqbal Ansari in 1978, 36 years later, she took a divorce, on the other hand, Iqbal Hussain’s first marriage was with actress and host Farah Hussain.
