Bilawal thanks Punjab, Sindh people over support in by-elections

KARACHI –  Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari thanked the people of Punjab and Sindh who elected his party leaders in the by-elections.

Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also congratulated newly elected  Khursheed Junejo and MPA elect Mumtaz Chang.

“The results of the majority of by-elections across the country show the people have rejected destructive politics of opposition,” said the PPP chairman.

He said that his allied had now the true mandate.

Khursheed Ahmed Junejo, the PPP leader, who contested by-election on the seat of NA-196, emerged victorious by bagging 82, 332 votes while his rival candidate of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) could secure 2, 401 votes.
