The Agriculture Department organized a ceremony for balloting of agricultural machinery and equipment to paddy farmers under the Prime Minister’s Agricultural Emergency Program here.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Shahid Abbas Joya was the chief guest on the occasion while Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Akhtar Hussain and representatives of farmers’ organizations and farmers were also present.
On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Shahid Abbas Joya said that the provision of agricultural machinery and equipment at 50% subsidy under the Prime Minister’s Agricultural Emergency Program is an important milestone.
The rapid steps taken for the welfare of the farmers are commendable.
Every farmer will be happy with the efforts made to bring innovation in the agricultural sector.
He also asked agricultural experts to work hard to help the farmers overcome their issues at their doorsteps.
He also listened to the problems of the farmers and gave instructions to the officers concerned.
Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Akhtar Hussain said that we need modern agricultural technology and the government is spending huge funds on agricultural sector in the light of modern research to get higher yields.
