The City Traffic Police here on Tuesday organized an awareness seminar on traffic laws for students and faculty at City University. The seminar was organized under the supervision of DSP Education Shazia Shahid and the Education Team of City Traffic Police Peshawar. Instructors and others also attended the event.
The seminar aimed to educate students and faculty about traffic rules and safety measures, promoting responsible and safe driving practices. During the seminar, instructors provided education to students on various aspects of road safety, including zebra crossings, seat belt usage, wearing helmets, driving principles, and precautionary measures.
Chief Traffic Officer Qamar Hayat Khan emphasized the importance of using seat belts and helmets while traveling to prevent traffic accidents and save lives. He also mentioned that City Traffic Police regularly visited different educational institutions to impart awareness among students about traffic laws, aiming to reduce accidents and ensure the safety of citizens.
He stressed the significance of always wearing seat belts, following lane discipline, and refraining from using mobile phones while driving. Khan highlighted that strict enforcement of traffic laws was crucial to controlling accidents and creating organized traffic, which reflected a civilized society.
He emphasized the importance of professional training in effectively dealing with various situations, stating that upholding traffic laws played a pivotal role in accident prevention.
