PARIS – Pakistan has set eyes on medal as Arshad Nadeem will be participating in the javelin throw qualification round at the Paris Olympics today (Tuesday).
The Pakistani athlete has been placed in Group B along with Indian player Neeraj Chopra and others. The group also includes Edis Matusevicius, Anderson Peters and Germany’s Max Dehning.
The competition of the Group B will start at 2:50pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST), where Arshad Nadeem will throw fifth.
As per the rules, it is required to make a minimum throw of 84 meters to qualify for the medal round.
From all groups, 12 throwers will be picked for the final round. If none of 12 athletes achieve the 84 meters mark, the best among of them will be sent to the final round.
Match Time for Javelin Throw Competition
The javelin throw competition will begin at 2:50 pm while he will throw fifth from the Group B where Indian player Neeraj Chopra has also been placed.
