A pair of late goals from Nicolas Pepe and Jose Sa helped Arsenal beat Wolves in a dramatic game at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal fell behind after just 10 minutes as Hwang Hee-Chee put the ball behind Aaron Ramsdale from a tight angle leaving the Gunners to chase the game for the next 72 minutes.
Nicolas Pepe would start the hosts’ late comeback in the 82nd minute, controlling Eddie Nketiah’s pass expertly before turning and shooting beyond the reach of Sa.
A lengthy stoppage around the 90th minute ensued amid confusion over a Wolves sub. The six minutes of added time were just enough for the Gunners to snatch all three points at home.
In the fifth minute of stoppage time, Pepe’s pass found Alexandre Lacazette who shot from a narrow-angle and the ball found its way into the back of the net after a deflection from the Wolves goalkeeper.
The result sees Arsenal overtake West Ham United in the Premier League table, moving up to fifth but with two games in hand over Manchester United while Wolves remain in seventh ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
