The Punjab bureaucracy on Monday saw another wave of transfers and postings following the posting of the new chief secretary.
According to a notification, Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Irum Bukhari has been transferred from her post.
In a latest development, Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Irum Bukhari has been transferred from her post and Syed Ali Murtaza has been appointed new ACS, Punjab. Wajiullah Kundi has been appointed as Punjab Transport Secretary.
Moreover, PAS officer Suhail Ahmed Khuwaja and former registrar of Usman Moazzam services have been surrendered to the federal government.
Earlier, the federal cabinet on Tuesday approved the appointment of Kamran Ali Afzal as the Punjab chief secretary and Sardar Ali Khan as Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) with immediate effect according to a notification from the Cabinet Secretariat.
Meanwhile, the Lahore Police arrested over 100 eunuchs who were begging in different areas, mostly at traffic signals in the latest anti-begging campaign launched by the provincial government.
Police also arrested eunuchs who came to visit their ‘colleagues’ at the police stations.
However, eunuchs alleged that Police also snatched their mobiles and valuables during the operation. Eunuchs also decided to protest against the arrests made by police and the administration.
