Deputy Commissioner Umer Farooq Warriach said that no nation can achieve the destination of progress and prosperity without promoting education that is way Islam urged the people to get education while under constitution of Pakistan, every citizen must get knowledge.
He expressed these views while addressing a seminar held in connection with observing literacy day. District Literacy Officer Muhammad Shafiq, DEO (EE) Haji Sultan Ahmad, DDEO Imanullah and other officers, students and parents were also attended the seminar.
DC further said that government was taking all possible measures to eliminate illiteracy and objective of observing literacy day was creating awareness among people about importance of education and efforts of the government to curb illiteracy could not be proved fruitful without responsible role of the civil society.
He said that promotion of women education was more important because educated women could play vital role to make new generation educated and educated women was guaranty of bright future of new generation.
DO Literacy said that 435 non-formal school are working in the district Hafizabad where formal schools are not exited. Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer Education Hafizabad Sohail Azhar Khan inaugurated newly renovated and parking areas office of the Deputy District Officer (W) Hafizabad.
