Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan President Muhammad Abdul Shakoor has said that due to deteriorating situation from coronavirus the relief operation of Al-Khidmat Foundation is continued at vast scale in country. He said that so far Al-Khidmat Foundation has spent Rs 1.25 billion in war against coronavirus which has benefited nearly 94 lakh people.
In a statement Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that the 28,000 dedicated workers of Al-Khidmat Foundation are in the field to provide every possible help to their countrymen in every nook and corner of the country in the hour of trial.
Abdul Shakoor said that these volunteers along with mosques and other public places are protecting the religious places of the minorities through spray on priority basis. He said that the respect of the religious places is ensured while spraying.
Abdul Shakoor said that due to closure of businesses and other sources of income in result of lockdown in country a large number of daily wagers and middle class people has been affected, adding that Al-Khidmat Foundation is distributing the dried ration and cooked food in deserved people. He said that for this purpose the mohalla committees have been constituted, adding that these committees are helping the deserved people with the cooperation of local philanthropists.
Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that Al-Khidmat Foundation in its 10 hospitals with three ventilators each and patient monitors has officially activated the intense care units, adding that the government could convert them in quarantine centers or use for the treatment of the coronavirus patients. He said that along with creating awareness among the masses about the coronavirus the process of distribution of hand sanitizers, soap, face masks and personal protective kits for the doctors is also continued.
