Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab has launched a grand operation against land grabbers throughout Punjab.
During the last one week, ACE has retrieved 1150 kanal government land worth Rs 1.5 billion from land grabbers. This operation is going on with the directions of ACE Punjab Director General Gohar Nafees who has directed all regional and headquarter officers to take action against land grabbers without any discrimination, throughout Punjab. He has also directed his officers to adopt zero-tolerance policy against corrupt elements and to take immediate steps to remove the illegal occupation from the state land.
In the light of above said directions, all regions of ACE have launched a grand operation against land grabbers. During this operation, ACE Lahore Region B has retrieved 248 kanal government land worth of Rs 1.6 crore in three different villages of Lahore named Dala Wahga, Patiala, Adhean from the land grabbers.
During operation in Mitha Tawana, Khushab Sargodha region 4 kanal 2 marla’s land valuing Rs 1.5 crore has been retrieved. In another operation, 8 commercial shops situated at Jail Road Sargodha have also been retrieved, in Sahiwal 68 kanal land valuing Rs 5.85 crore, in Multan 647 kanal land worth Rs 20.24 crore in Faisalabad, 101 kanal land worth Rs 1.11 billion, in Gujranwala 85 kanal 17 marlas land valuing Rs 5.36 cror has been retrieved from land grabbers.
During another operation by Region A. in collaboration with District administration in Subhan Garden, Harbunspura, government land worth millions of rupees has been retrieved from land grabbers and 19 land grabbers have also been arrested on the spot.
