LAHORE – Former prime minister on Tuesday reiterated claims of his assassination; this time he refrained from naming his rivals as leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf faced legal tussles over his last claims.
Lately, Imran – who suffered an apparent assassination, last year – said he got specifics about his assassination.
Two shooters from South Waziristan, the country’s remote area neighboring Afghanistan, were hired to kill me, the defiant politician said, adding that he is making these claims with subtle evidence.
Last month, Imran Khan bluntly named PPP leader and former President Asif Zardari for hacking the murder conspiracy. Over time, the firebrand politician named several politicians including the sitting premier and interior minister, saying he recorded a video identifying those people and it will be released if the plan succeeded.
Many of his supporters also believed in the PTI chief, who was wounded in his lower leg in an apparent assassination attempt.
PTI chief is up in arms with PDM members, accusing him of different allegations and playing all his cards in his gambit to pressurise the government for fresh elections.
