Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani said that Punjab Police is effectively using modern information technology in accordance with the principles of modern policing to protect the lives and property of citizens and maintain the rule of law in the society. At the same time, there has been a marked improvement in the delivery of service to citizens. He further said that Punjab Police has separated General Policing and Service Delivery Projects to facilitate the citizens and tackle the challenges of policing while with the help of effective monitoring and close inspection , equal attention is being given to both the sectors which would help the citizens to get justice without any delay and not only there has been more speed and transparency in the prompt delivery of services , but also the atmosphere of trust and co-operation between the people and the police has been improved in this regard. IG Punjab apprised the IG Gilgit-Baltistan of the steps being taken to improve general policing and service delivery.
IG Gilgit-Baltistan Dr. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Khan thanked the Punjab Police for providing assistance in security services and duties during the Gilgit-Baltistan elections and said that the Punjab Police officers and men performed their duties with due diligence in the harsh election environment and their performance is really commendable.
