Forty one persons were separately arrested for kite flying and more than 1100 kites and dozens of roles of string were also seized. The police on Monday said that a crack down was launched in the entire city on Sunday in order to stop the kite flyers from observing ‘mini basant’.
It is told that during raids in different localities the police from Kotwali, Hajipura, Nekapura, Rangpura, Civil Lines, Uggoki, Muradpur and Moutrah police stations arrested 41 persons namely, Asif, Ziaulla, Ali, Usama, Ali Hasan, Hasan, Imran, Bilal, Farooq, Shoaib, Shehzad, Ghulam Ali, Ghulam Dastgir, Sharoon, Samuel, Usman, Aqeel, Maqsood, Naveed, Shakeel, Jedi, Tanvir, Ghulam Murtaza, Azad Ali, Samandar Khan, Imran, Kashif, M Shehzad, M Bilal, Inaam.
