Eighteen members of same family including four children, tested positive for COVID-19 here on Tuesday and were shifted to isolation ward of a government hospital. According to report, health authorities have taken samples of residents of Hussainabad area, of them tests of 18 members of the same family were turned out to be COVID-19 positive.
Four children, five women and nine male members of a family, have been shifted to Government hospital Kohisar, Latifabad for further treatment after they were tested positive for COVID-19, report said.
Meanwhile it is reported that district Mianwali administration sealed 266 shops, impounded 71 vehicles and collectively imposed fine amounting to Rs. 492,000 on shops and vehicles over violation of corona SOPs during the last week in Mianwali district.
According to a press statement issued here on Tuesday that on the direction of Deputy Commissioner, the ADCG Syed Noor Alam along with Assistant Commissioners Mianwali, Esa Khel and Piplan conducted raids at various markets of the district and closed 430 shops, sealed 266 shops, registered cases against 34 people and imposed fine amounting to Rs. 273,800 on 2730 shopkeepers over violation of corona SOPs.
Meanwhile, ADC Finance and Planning/ Secretary DRTA Muhammad Ejaz Joyea visited the general bus stands/wagon stands and during checking vehicles at main road of the district impounded 71 vehicles in police station and imposed fine amounting to Rs. 119,000 fines over violation. The special price control magistrates were also conducting surprise visits to ensure the implementation on SOPs released by the government of Punjab to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus.
Assistant Commissioner Khaar Fazal Rahim on Tuesday paid surprise visit to Raghgan bazaar and inspected implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to contain spread of coronavirus. During visit, the AC-cum-first class magistrate also checked quality and prices of daily use items in several shops. He sealed 12 shops for violating the law and initiated disciplinary action against owner of those shops. He said the district administration would not allow anyone to take law into his own hands by selling substandard items to masses or charging more than officially prescribed rates.—APP
