Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former provincial minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid said the court should protect people’s mandate. She expressed these views while talking to the reporters while appearing in the Anti-Terrorism Court in connection with the May 9 cases on Monday.
Answering a question about becoming opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, she replied she would act according to the party’s direction. Yasmin stated she had no hope attached with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
“The nation is looking at the judiciary for justice. The people of Pakistan came out of their homes to vote for the PTI despite apprehensions and fears but their trust has been breached,” the PTI leader said.
“People have pinned high hopes with the judiciary and it should take action to set things right,” she added.
