Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar on Wednesday said that the PTI government is taking exemplary steps for betterment in various sectors including Education and Health. “Global organizations are validating successful economic policies of our government and we will empower our public through local bodies elections.”
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar was talking to PTI MNA Asim Nazir and MPA Saeed Ahmad Sadi here at Governor’s House. Developmental projects and other issues came under discussion during the meeting. PTI Vice-President Chaudhry Ishfaq was also present on the occasion. They discussed various political matters particularly the development projects in Faisalabad and Toba Tek Singh districts during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Punjab governor said that Pakistan is on the path to progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. “The opposition is trying to spread mayhem in the country but we will not let them succeed. Opposition is talking about protests just to stay politically alive but the public’s support is with the government not with the opposition so we are not afraid of opposition.”
Chaudhry Sarwar said that the public will not become a part to any anti-government campaign. No one can stop Pakistan from progressing now. Elections will not take place before 2023. Rooting out corruption, accountability without discrimination has become vital for a progressive Pakistan. Governor Punjab said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has steered Pakistan out of the economic crisis. Our economic policies are aimed at uplifting the poor segments of population. Our government is ensuring meritocracy on every level, he added.
Governor Ch Sarwar greeted Veteran trade leader and chairman Founder’s Group Iftikhar Ali Malik over landslide victory in annual election of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Talking to Iftikhar Malik by telephone, the governor said that PIAF Founder alliance candidates had made a clean sweep on all seats which reflects its popularity in the business community.
He said that Lahore after Karachi is second hub of economic activities and traders always played key role in national development and progress of the country. He said that Lahore chamber is the largest and the oldest in the country established in 1923 which produced eminent figures in Pakistan.
He said that PTI government especially Prime Minister Imran always attached great importance to business community and had already issued directives to all federal and provincial departments to address the genuine grievances of the business community on top priority.
