ISLAMABAD – Buying new car in Pakistan has become more expensive than ever after this year’s tax as Withholding Tax (WHT) is now being calculated based on vehicle invoice price rather than engine capacity.
As per details, Filers will pay 1 percent of the car’s value, while Non-filers will pay 3 percent. This updated policy aims to simplify tax calculations and has replaced the previous engine-size-based system.
