KARACHI – Provincial authorities in Sindh announced winter school holidays across the Southeastern region for this year.
As students are looking for winter break, the Sindh Education Department announced winter holidays for schools and colleges. All government and private schools will remain closed from December 22, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
Classes of all educational institutions will resume their regular classes on January 1, 2025 (Wednesday).
Sindh Education Department made the announcement after a steering committee meeting of the Sindh School Education Department, with formal notification in the coming days.
Winter School Holidays Update
Punjab government’s plan to announce winter vacations in December due to smog and cold weather, however, Private Schools Association opposed the extended break.
President of All Pakistan Private Schools Association stands against decision, citing disruptions to the academic session caused by extended summer holidays, smog, and protests.
He suggested holidays from January 1-10, instead of the proposed 23 days.
