ISLAMABAD – A picture of former prime minister Imran Khan is all over the internet and the picture leak also prompted probe from Supreme Court as the proceeding of NAB law case was not broadcast online.
The picture shows Imran Khan dressed up in light blue shirt. His party also shared the click of the purported video call, with a laptop screen showing him seated in a room as PTI leader rested his face on one of his hand.
As the picture leak raised questions, the Court administration started an investigation The bench, comprising Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa and others, approved Khan’s plea to present arguments himself.
This is first appearance of PTI chief since his arrest last year. PTI leaders have demanded the live broadcast of case proceedings to resume.
A post shared by a social media handle that Shaukat Basra leaked the picture. Basra however rejected the claim.
As the probe is underway, police will reportedly take action against those found involved in the picture leak.
