PM Shehbaz Sharif’s federal cabinet takes oath

ISLAMABAD – The 19-member federal cabinet on Monday took oath on Monday during a ceremony at the President House.

President Arif Alvi administered oath to the federal and state ministers of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s cabinet.

The event was attended by the prime minister, outgoing interim minister and other officials.

The premier is yet to make announcement regarding portfolios to be given to the ministers and special assistants.

Reports suggest that Khawaja Asif will be appointed as defence minister, Ishaq Dar foreign minister, Azam Nazeer Tarar law minister while Aurangzeb will get a role in finance ministry.

The prime minister will chair the maiden wicket of the federal cabinet at 5 pm today where matters related to portfolios would be discussed.
