It’s finally time when you can read voice messages without listening to them. Instant messaging app WhatsApp rolled out new feature, which is being rolled out for both Android and Apple device users.
The new WhatsApp feature will be helpful for users to read voice notes during busy environments or during busy meetings.
The first-of-its-kind Voice Transcript feature works by converting voice messages into text on the mobile, ensuring end-to-end encryption and maintaining user privacy. To ensure privacy, the application confirmed that transcription process does not involve external servers, meaning that no one can access voice content.
In first phase, the audio to text transcription is available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian, and the feature has also been spotted in the beta version of the app, offering transcription in some other languages.
