Weather update for Sindh; Karachi experiences coldest day of winter

KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather for Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh during the next two days.

According to the synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of Pakistan.

A shallow westerly wave is approaching upper parts of the country today.

Under these conditions, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh including Karachi and Hyderabad on Friday night and the next two days.

Smog/fog is likely to persist in Jacobabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki and Padidan during morning and night hours.

In Karachi, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 14-16 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 16-18 C on Sunday.

In Hyderabad, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 15-17 C on Saturday and 16-18 C on Sunday.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed across Sindh during the last 24 hours.

Mithi remained the coldest place in Sindh where mercury dropped 06 C.

Coldest day in Karachi

In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 13 C, making Friday the coldest day of the winter season.

Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 30 per cent.

In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 15 C.

Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 29 per cent.
