Weather update for Islamabad, Rawalpindi; intermittent rains likely

ISLAMABAD – Intermittent rains with gusty winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over northern/western parts of the country.

Under these weather conditions, rains with gusty winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and at isolated places of Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Monday night and Tuesday with occasional gaps.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35-37°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35-37°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours.

Dalbandin and Sibbi remained the hottest places in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. The maximum temperature in Bhakkar, Nokkundi, Sukkur and Khairpur was recorded at 41°C.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 57 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 46 per cent.
