LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly cold and dry weather for Lahore and most parts of Punjab on Thursday, polling day for Election 2024.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in Lahore and most parts of the province on Wednesday night, Thursday (Election Day) and Friday. Freezing weather is likely in Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Cold winds are likely in upper Punjab. Shallow fog is likely to occur at isolated places in Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore and Kasur during morning and night hours.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 05-07 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 06-08 C on Friday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the province during the last 24 hours. Freezing weather prevailed in Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Rain occurred at isolated places in South Punjab. Shallow fog prevailed over few plain areas of northeast Punjab.

Murree remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped 03 C below freezing. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 59 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 06 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 46 per cent.
