Weather outlook of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Pakistan; rains, isolated heavy falls expected

ISLAMABAD – Rains with isolated heavy falls and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Friday night and Saturday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), shallow westerly wave prevails over upper/northeastern parts of Pakistan.

Under these weather conditions, rains are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and at isolated places in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, northeast Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday night and Saturday. Heavy falls are expected at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Potohar region during the period.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Saturday and Sunday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, rains occurred at isolated places in northeast Punjab and Kashmir during the last 24 hours. Humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Charat 13, Patan 01

Kashmir: Rawalakot 18, Muzaffarabad (Airport) 06, Garhi Dupatta 05, Kotli 03

Dalbandin and Nokkundi remained the hottest places in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. The maximum temperature in Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, Sibbi and Sukkur was recorded at 40°C.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 82 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 71 per cent.
