ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts partly cloudy weather with scattered rains and snowfall over the mountains for parts of Pakistan on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to enter Balochistan tomorrow evening/night.
Under these conditions, light rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over the hills are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan on Monday night.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over the hills are expected in northwest/south Balochistan. Cold and dry weather is likely elsewhere in the country and freezing in upper parts.
Islamabad’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 02-04 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 01-03 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts and freezing in upper parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rain-thunderstorms with snowfall over the mountains occurred in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Pothohar region.

Kalam remained the coldest place in Pakistan where temperature dropped 10 C below freezing.
In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 03 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 93 per cent.
