In the lieu of Corona virus spreading with fast pace in district Badin where the confirmed cases of Corona virus have surged to 159 with 03 deaths till today, Dr. Hafeez Ahmed Siyal, Deputy Commissioner Badin has issued direction for strictly implementing of new Standard Operating Procedure (SPOs) at least during office hours.
According to SOPs, district administration Badin has restricted the entry of all in district government offices without wearing the face mask and maintaining the social distancing.
According to SOPs thrice in a week effective disinfection of all offices especially of surface of installation, chairs, tables and doors are mandatory and cleanliness of other part of offices in all departments should be done though disinfecting liquid when it urges to maintain at least three feet social distancing at every workplace adding that wearing face masks at workplace are compulsory and general administration would ensure to provide face masks to all office employees as it is essential to wear in offices.
DC Badin also directed head of all departments through introducing the SOPs that they must assure to provide the thermal guns for screening of body temperature of all officers during entry and said that every department shall install the ‘Health Desk’ at entry points to instill health education, screening and awareness regarding COVID-19.
SOPs read that no person having fever, flu, cough, shortness of breath and body pain would be allowed to enter into the office premises and imposed the ban on public crowding and gatherings in the district.
DC Badin issued directions to all departments to display the posters at every workplace regarding importance of social distancing adding that all persons with co-morbidities like diabetes, allergic, asthmatic and immune compromised state and etc were also advised to remain at home and perform function from the home till new direction.
The staff with travel history aboard within at least last month was also recommended to ensure the strict self-quarantine at their homes and avoid meeting with the people even family members adding that all of district offices will be ‘No smoke zone’.
SOPs read that common public advises to no visit office and departments unnecessarily during COVID-19 emergency and recommended to register their complaints through ‘online complaint portal’.
