WASSCA removes 788 MT of garbage

WASSCA (Water and sanitation Services Abbottabad) has record lifting of 788 M.Tons sacrificial animals waste through 25 vehicles and using 125 workers from Abbottabad’s 4 union councils at least 130 collection points.

Media Manager Umer Swati while giving details to the media told that round the clock operation remain operative for three days and all the wastes of sacrificial animals were dumped in the specially prepared trenches in the Salhad waste Dump and were later on were covered with mud and sand .

Cleanliness drive which was started through the help of Ulema’s and media and notables of the areas especially the ex-local bodies members and more than 4,000 disposable bags were also distributed and request was made to not to throw in streets but at the designated points and general public followed the instructions which enabled the WASSCA staff to remove the garbage and waste quickly.

Akram Zaki , chief Executive of WASSCA has lauded the services of entire sanitation tem and supervisory staff who had worked day and night and maximum 15 minutes time was given for the clearance of waste on the complaints and after the removal of garbage and waste, lime was showered on the collection points.
