KARACHI – Former fast bowler Waqar Younis advised Shaheen Afridi to learn from cricketer Mohammad Amir.

Mohammad Amir showed excellent bowling performance in the eliminator of Quetta Gladiators against Islamabad United, especially in the first over where he conceded only 2 runs and troubled the openers with his left-arm pace.

Commentator Ramiz Raja also could not help but praise his bowling, saying that Amir bowled exceptionally well.

During the commentary, former fast bowler Waqar Younis advised Lahore Qalandars Captain Shaheen Afridi to learn from Amir.

He said that when the ball is not winging, left-arm pacers can trouble batsmen with their variations.

“I hope Shaheen Afridi is watching Amir’s bowling; I think he also needs to bowl in a similar manner,” he added.
