ISLAMABAD – Pakistani authorities continue to block access to over two dozen Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) in bid to regulate internet usage, and now the telecom authority shared update on VPN Registration and other details.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) shared simplified procedures for VPN registration and IP whitelisting to help those working as freelancers, and operating call centers.

PTA classified VPn registration process in four different categories.
For Companies
Businesses can register their VPN connections for secure internet access.
For Freelancers
Freelancers can register with an authentication letter from their employer.
For Call Centers
Call centers can whitelist IPs to enhance security and functionality.
For Video Conferencing
Companies can whitelist IPs to ensure smooth communication.
