Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has said that unemployment is the main reason for the problem of law and order, where employment and resources are not available, people get involved in negative activities, the province is currently facing law and order and economic challenges. Terrorism is raising its head once again, for its complete elimination, all political parties and the nation must be on the same page on the basis of zero tolerance.
He expressed his views on Wednesday during a meeting with 18 officers of the 35th Senior Management Course on the occasion of a study visit to the Governor’s House, Peshawar. Director Staff Fauzia Aftab, Coordinators Tanveer Ahmad, Almas Arshad and Principal Secretary to Governor Mazhar Irshad were also present on the occasion. The participants of the course included officers from various groups and ministries. The participants of the course had a study meeting with the governor in which the participants were briefed about the constitutional duties and responsibilities of the governor. And asked various questions including economic stability.
The governor welcomed the officers who came on the study visit and wished them well. After the briefing, a question and answer session was held. In response to a question, the governor said that even 50% of the 100 billion rupees for annual development programs in the merged districts has not been released. However, after the integration of the tribal areas into the province, there are concerns among the tribal people and the youth regarding the lack of infrastructure improvement in various sectors and the collection of taxes.
