Code of Conduct of Mutthahida Ulema Board will prove a positive outcome for interfaith dialogue and Religious harmony in the country, said Federal Interior Minister Brigadier (R) Ijaz Shah.
In meeting with Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council, Muthahida Ulema Board, the interior Minister said that coordination will be ensured between religious Leadership and government for inter sect coexistence and interfaith harmony in the country during the month of Muharramul Haram, adding that Government will remain vigilant to avert any untoward situation during the month of Muharramul Haram.
Speaking on this occasion, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi stated that intersect harmony and interfaith dialogue is need of the hour adding that endeavours on part of leading Ulemas and religious scholars ahead of Muharramul Haram are very laudable to ensure sanctity of the holy month.
Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi also stated that any bid to make anarchy and sectarian violence in the country will be foiled.
He said that all the Ulemas and Mashaykh of Pakistan have unanimously announced to support and endorse Code of Conduct of Muthahida Ulema Board to ensure peace and harmony in the country.
He said that no one will be allowed to make anarchy and chaos in the country.
Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi also stated that Government has not ban sacrificial animals, people are allowed to make Qurbani with subsequent preventive measures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
