Pakistan, Ukraine to highlight work of national poets of two countries

Pakistan and Ukraine will strengthen mutual ties in literary and cultural fields and work is underway on various literary cultural projects.
This was stated by the Federal Secretary of the National History and Literary Heritage (NH &LH) Division Inaam Ullah Khan, in a meeting with Volodymyr Lakmov, Ambassador of Ukraine to Pakistan who called on the secretary at his office.
During the meeting the Ambassador expressed his compliments on the efforts and activities of NH& LH Division towards promotion of literary and cultural activities in Pakistan and Abroad.
Our friendly nations share many common traits and have a lot of cultural parallels.
We are interested in fruitful bilateral collaboration between Ukraine and Pakistan and intense people-to-people contacts, he added.
He also expressed his pleasure on creating a new slot of Second Secretary in his embassy and appointment of Dr Olena Bordilovska (PhD History, Dr. Hab. Politics) since September2019 on this position.
New ideas as per projects in the sphere of cultural collaboration could be presented by her initiatives. One of the project is to be named “Dr Muhammad Iqbal-Taras Shevchenko” and will be dedicated to National poets of Pakistan and Ukraine, including the translations of the poetry and philosophic visions.
Federal Secretary National History and Literary Heritage Division Inaam Ullah Khan appreciated and welcomed the project regarding the national poets of Pakistan and Ukraine and offered every possible contribution from NH & LH Division.
Second Secretary on Culture and Humanitarian issues Dr Olena Bordilovska was also present on this occasion.
