The English Literary Society of University of Home Economics (UHE) Lahore organized it’s first exhibition and competition on the theme of Autumn inspired by “Ode to Autumn” by John Keats.

The main themes explored in the exhibition were the power of nature, the passage of time, and the consolation of beauty.

Students were directed to prepare projects on the theme and explore their creativity and exhibit them as aesthetically as possible.

UHE VC Prof DR Kanwal Ameen was the chief guest at the event while Ms Fatima Alvi, Associate Professor of English and PhD scholar of Architecture, performed as judge.

The exhibition started with ribbon cutting ceremony that was performed by the VC. The VC and judge appreciated the projects and asked the students about their inspiration and ideas that they incorporated in their work.

Speaking on the occasion, the VC appreciated wholeheartedly the initiative of the English department who organized the event under the banner of English Literary Society.

She expected that more such events would be conducted in future under English Literary Society.

The position holders were announced and the certificates of appreciation were awarded to the winners by VC and judge.
