Mar 14 (NNI): Two terrorists of the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP — Gandapur Group) were killed during an intelligence-based operation in area police station Dera Town near CRBC Canal near Bhagwani. According to the details, a team of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted an operation when it was ambushed by terrorists.
The CTD team returned fire effectively, killing two terrorists on the spot. The terrorists were later identified as Akhtar Munir alias Waleed alias Qari, son of Razi Khan, and Abdul Aziz, alias Talha, son of Bahadur Khan. CTD sources said the terrorists killed in the fight were wanted in several terror-related incidents, and 2 Kalashnikovs, 04 hand grenades, and 06 spare magazines were recovered from their possession.
