RAWALPINDI – At least six terrorists including two commanders have been killed during an operation launched by FC in Balochistan’s Kharan, reported the military’s media wing on Friday.
The security forces carried out the intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the area after receiving credible information about the presence of terrorists in a hideout.
When FC cordoned off the area, terrorists opened fire on troops.
During the exchange of fire, six terrorists including two commanders, Gul Mir and Kaleemullah Bolani, were killed according to the statement.
A heavy cache of weapons was recovered during the operation.
Earlier this month, eleven alleged terrorists belonging to a proscribed organisation were killed during a Counter-Terrorism Department operation in Quetta.
A CTD team conducted an operation in the Mastung area of Quetta in which 11 terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire.
Arms and ammunition were recovered from the compound used by the alleged terrorists. The identity of the dead terrorists could not be revealed immediately while the bodies were shifted to the hospital.
It should be noted that a few days ago, Counter-Terrorism Department had a confrontation with terrorists in the area of Kohar Dam Lora Lai. Seven terrorists associated with a banned outfit were killed in the encounter.
Earlier on August 10, five alleged terrorists were killed in a Counter-Terrorism Department operation on the Western Bypass. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the compound used by the terrorist.
