Multan Sector Commander SP Rana Sarfraz and CPO Headquarters Masroor Ali distributed Iftar items to hundreds of fasting people travelling on public and private vehicles on Motorway-5 (Multan-Sukkar) on Monday. He advised the motorists to avoid cellphone use and speeding for a safe travel.
The officers also took action against vehicles with tinted windows. The sector commander said that violation of traffic rules on motorways is grave issue, which not only risks one’s life but also poses threat to others’ life.
It is to be noted that Pakistan’s state-of-the-art ITS system has been installed on the M-5, which will monitor the speed of vehicles.
