A wave of discontent swept through the streets of Khuda Bux Brohi Thatta as a significant number of shopkeepers resorted to a sit-in protest, paralyzing traffic on the Thatta Bypass near Kaka Market for nearly two hours. The demonstration, fueled by frustrations over prolonged power outages, brought forth a fervent outcry against the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO).

Chanting fervently and brandishing placards denouncing the HESCO administration, the protesters aired their grievances, decrying the adverse impact of frequent blackouts on their businesses. Economic losses mounted as shopkeepers bemoaned their inability to serve customers amidst the persistent and prolonged load shedding.

In a dramatic escalation of their protest, tires were set ablaze, barricading the road and grinding vehicular movement to a halt. The palpable anger among the demonstrators underscored the dire consequences of the power cuts, rendering many unemployed and plunging them into financial distress.

Demanding immediate restoration of electricity supply, the aggrieved traders called upon HESCO authorities to safeguard their livelihoods and hold accountable those responsible for the unauthorized disconnections. The protesters rallied for justice, urging swift action to alleviate their plight and ensure uninterrupted power supply essential for their businesses to thrive.

The sit-in served as a poignant reminder of the deep-seated frustrations prevailing among businesses grappling with the repercussions of inadequate electricity provision, underscoring the urgent need for effective measures to address the longstanding issue of power outages.
