The third women’s T20I between Pakistan and Aus-tralia has been washed out due to rain on Sunday.

Australia won the three-match series 2-0 after the final match at the Canberra’s Manuka Oval was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Earlier on January 26, Australia outclassed Pakistan by eight wickets in the second T20I in Hobart to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

It must be noted that Australia won the first T20I of the series by eight wickets as well.

Leg-spinner Alana King was given the award for the player of the series after bagging figures of 2-10 and 2-16 in Sydney and Hobart. The home side also whitewashed Pakistan in a three-match ODI series during the tour as well.

Both teams will leave for South Africa over the next few days for the T20 World Cup where defend-ing champions Australia will again start as favour-ites.—Agencies
