Tessori meets Japanese ambassador to discuss bilateral trade, investment

Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori held a meeting with the Japanese Ambassador, Mitsuhiro Wada, at the Governor House on Thursday, where the two discussed strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing trade, and promoting investment.

During the meeting, the Governor highlighted the potential for Japanese investors to capitalize on various sectors within the province, citing Sindh’s educated, experienced, and hardworking youth as a key attraction for foreign investment. Governor Tessori assured that investors are receiving full support through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and expressed a desire to further expand trade with Japan.

The Japanese Ambassador responded positively, noting that Japanese investors are keen on exploring opportunities in different sectors of the province. He also praised ongoing initiatives under the Governor’s leadership. As part of the meeting, Ambassador Wada planted a tree at the Governor House in support of the plantation campaign. He also recorded his impressions in the guest book before concluding the visit. Later, while speaking to the media, Governor Tessori emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between Japanese investors and local businesspeople, pledging to foster stronger connections between the two communities.

He also expressed hope for enhanced cooperation with the federal government to support Japanese businesses operating in Pakistan.
