Federal Minister for Water Resources, Chaudhry Moonis Elahi has said that Telemetry System would be executed expeditiously to build confidence amongst the stakeholders which is inevitably essen-tial for the national harmony among the federating units,
The federal minister on Wednesday presided over a meeting with Chairman IRSA Zahid Hussain Junejo in Ministry of Water Resources, therein he was briefed about current water situation, regulation and its distribution amongst the provinces, IRSA capac-ity building and installation of telemetry system on water distribution sites.
Speaking on the occasion, Moonis Elahi said that being the part of positive development total rim stations inflows has been augmented by 27% as compared to the inflows in last year October.
Previously, the inflows were 57800 Cusec which have been increased to 73400 Cusecs. These inflows are 11 % plus with respect to last ten years average of 65900 cusec.
Provincial indents and releases to Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KP (below) are 35000 Cs, 40000 Cs, 4000 Cs and 2500 Cs, respectively with no shortfall, he added.
On Telemetry System, he was briefed that the matter was under process among the relevant institutions.
The Minister Water Resources emphasized on ex-peditious execution of the project so as to build the confidence amongst the stakeholders regarding the accurate water distribution which is inevitably es-sential for the national harmony among the federat-ing units.
