The Technical Acceptance Ceremony for the New Gwadar International Airport (NGIAP) was held at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. The event marked a major milestone in the completion of the airport project, attended by senior officials from the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) and the Chinese project team.
Air Vice Marshall (AVM) Taimur Iqbal, Director General of PAA, along with Deputy Director General Airports Engineer Sadiq Ur Rehman, were present at the ceremony. AVM Iqbal honored key members of the Chinese project team by presenting appreciation shields and certificates. The ceremony also saw the attendance of Engineer FaizUllahKhattak, the Project Director of NGIAP, and other officials. Ding Kaan, Head of the Chinese Project Team, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, appreciating the close collaboration between the teams.
AVM Iqbal commended both the Chinese and PAA project teams for their contributions in completing the state-of-the-art airport. A significant part of the event was the formal exchange of the signed minutes of the Technical Acceptance Meeting between Engineer FaizUllahKhattak and Mr. Ding Kaan, Project Director of China Airport Construction Group Co. Ltd. This milestone brings the New Gwadar International Airport closer to becoming fully operational, playing a crucial role in advancing regional connectivity and development.
