TDAP, PTDC participate in Inte’l travel expo at Ho Chi Minh City

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) organized participation of four companies’ delegation of Tour Operators and a Hotels Chain from Pakistan in the 16th Edition of the International Travel Expo, Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, 2022 (ITE HCMC) from 8th to 10th September, 2022.

The International Travel Expo is the largest annual international travel fair in Vietnam which provides a platform to connect businesses, and exchange and promote transactions between exhibitors and potential buyers.

The Pakistani companies from the tourism and hospitality sector, who were participating in the fair for the first time, had various B2B meetings with major tour operators in Vietnam as well as numerous International Buyers, during first and the second day of the event.

Furthermore, Pakistani businesses were also successful in generating awareness among the Vietnamese tourists about Pakistan specifically with reference to Buddhist and Adventure tourism as the third day was open for general public.

The Pakistani delegation, while interacting with Vietnamese Media and different delegates at the event, highlighted that Pakistan possesses a rich and diversified cultural heritage.

They further highlighted that Pakistan has also inherited a multitude of archaeological sites, most notable of which are the Buddhist heritage sites and that Pakistan was indeed the seat of Buddhism evident by its spectacular remnants of the Gandhara civilization scattered all over the country.

The delegation invited Vietnamese tourists to visit Pakistan for a wonderful, adventurous, and enlightening experience. In their message to Vietnamese businesses in Hospitality and Tourism Sector, the delegation invited them to invest in Pakistan and establish long term B2B relations.

The Services Division at TDAP has specialized sections for the promotion of important exportable services such as IT, E-Commerce, Tourism, Banking and Finance, Construction and Transport and Logistics. TDAP plans to provide an opportunity for Pakistani businesses in the tourism sector to participate in different Expos during 2022 and 2023. The TDAP Annual Business Plan also includes exchange of investors’ delegations besides several seminars, webinars and business to business matchmaking events.
