SWAT – Swat District Police Officer (DPO) Shafiullah Gandapur on Tuesday issued directives for all police officials across the district to salute and show respect to teachers.

DPO Swat, while issuing these directives to all police officers, emphasized the crucial role of educators in fostering a civilized society.

He asserted that the denial of the role of teachers in a country’s progress is impossible.

The DPO said that in Islamic teachings, teachers are accorded a status similar to that of fathers, and anyone who does not respect their teachers cannot achieve progress. DPO Gandapur directed that all police officers, from constables to senior ranks, should greet any teacher they encounter.

Whenever a teacher visits a police station, check post, or checkpoint anywhere in the district, they should be given top priority, and their issues should be promptly addressed according to the law.

Furthermore, he emphasized that if a teacher makes an ordinary mistake on the roads, they should be warned politely and released with respect. The police officers and personnel across the district have begun implementing the directives of the DPO.
