Summer vacations for schools in Islamabad extended?

ISLAMABAD – Summer vacation for all public and private schools in Islamabad are set to end on July 31 amid abnormal weather conditions and scorching heat.

The summer vacations commenced in the federal schools from June 1 till July 31, with educational institutions are scheduled to reopen on August 31.

Recently, Sindh Education Department has extended summer vacations for schools until August 14 amid hot and humid weather conditions in the region.

The provincial authorities made the decision under the direction of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah. A notification regarding extension of school holidays said new academic year in Sindh will now start on August 15.

Update on Extension in Summer Holidays for Islamabad Schools

After the Sindh government extended the summer vacations, students and their parents have demanded the federal government to extend the holidays until the weather conditions are stable in the region.

The federal government is expected to review the summer vacation schedule keeping in view the weather conditions. However, there is no official announcement in this regard so far.
