Head of the Canal Administration, Osama Rabi, made a statement to the press about the annual income of the Suez Canal and the developments regarding the development of the southern part of the canal.
Underlining that the revenues of the Suez Canal have increased significantly compared to last year, Rabi said that for the first time in the history of the canal, the annual revenues of the Canal Administration reached $9.4 billion.
Noting that the project in the southern part of the Suez Canal will be completed by the end of the year, Rabi stated that with this project, the length of the new section of the canal will increase from 72 kilometers to 82 kilometers, and the southern section will be improved in terms of depth and width.—AA
