LAHORE – A strong earthquake of 5.2 magnitude rocked several cities in the central-eastern region, and northwestern regions of Pakistan on Tuesday.
Lahore, Islamabad, Nakana, Peshawar, and Abbottabad are among the cities where tremors were felt. Viral clips doing rounds on internet show people evacuating buildings in frenzy.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, quake was felt in Bagh, DhirKot, and Muzaffarabad while no loss of life or damages were reported.
In a statement, the Pakistan Meteorological Department earthquake originated at 1:04 pm, with its depth at 10km. It’s epicenter was Eastern Kashmir, Met Office said.
Furthermore, earthquake was also felt in Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK), New Delhi and other parts of the region.
