Cognizant of the country’s ever-growing energy needs, the government has collectively enhanced the storage capacity of petrol and high speed diesel (HSD) by 57.1 percent during a two-year period.
The storage capacity of petrol and HSD has been increased 38.7 per cent and HSD by 18.4 per cent to reinforce existing deposits and ensure unin-terrupted supply of petroleum products across the country.
“During FY 2018-19 and 2019-20, the storage capacity for MS and HSD have been enhanced from 0.49 million MT to 0.68 million MT and 1.222 mil-lion MT to 1.447 million MT respectively to meet the enhanced demand of petroleum products.—APP
