Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) in collaboration with Quetta police, apprehended Saadullah, the proprietor of Shah Dasterkhuwan Hotel in HazaarGanji, Quetta, for illicitly tampering with a 4-inch gas pipeline to siphon gas for commercial use. An FIR has been lodged against Saadullah at SSGC’s Quetta Police Station, and appropriate charges for theft are being pursued.  In separate operations, SSGC’s Theft Control team in Karachi dismantled 83 illegal gas connections in areas like Nazimabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Bismillah Colony, Bin Qasim Zone, and Malir Zone.

These connections had been illicitly extended using rubber pipes, resulting in the theft of approximately 66,000 cubic meters of gas annually. Similarly, in Larkana Region, six overhead theft connections were removed, and the equipment used for theft was confiscated, with corresponding theft claims under investigation.
