Two special planes carrying relief goods from Saudi Arabia reached Karachi on Friday in continuation of humanitarian relief assistance for flood affected people in Pakistan.
Both the planes carried around 60 tons of relief goods including tents, food packages, blankets, dates and kits from the King Salman Relief Centre.
The relief goods were handed over to the representatives of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in Karachi.
All the items will be distributed among affected people according to the needs of each affected area.
Meanwhile, Turkiye has also dispatched two more “Kindness Trains” loaded with relief goods for victims of the catastrophic floods in Pakistan, which have submerged one-third of the South Asian nation.
The eighth and ninth trains carrying 1,040 tonnes of disaster relief goods, including food and hygiene products, left the capital Ankara a day earlier.
